I am Duran, the photographer behind The Stories Lab.
My background is in photography, fine art and visual storytelling. I work across weddings, families, portraits, events and editorial projects, bringing together documentary observation, fine art sensibility and a calm, natural approach to image-making.
I am interested in the quiet structure of a day: how people move through a room, how they gather, how they look at one another, how small gestures can hold more than the larger moments around them.
For weddings, my work is not about directing the day into something it is not. I photograph what is already there: the atmosphere, the people, the formal photographs that matter, the unexpected details, and the rhythm of the day as it unfolds.
I know being photographed can feel unfamiliar. My approach is calm and unobtrusive, with enough guidance when it is needed and enough space when the moment needs to happen on its own.
The result is a collection of photographs that feels considered, honest and personal — not only a record of the day, but a way of returning to it.
WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO

Each wedding has its own pace, its own atmosphere and its own small gestures. I try to photograph these moments without forcing them, creating images that feel honest to the people and the day itself.
